Back to the Basics

Well folks, we are back at it again and school is in full swing. The returning students are coming back to changed USCA with renovation of our SAC (Student Activities Center) and the freshmen are the first to live in our new residential building Pacer Crossings. The SAC has many new things that help to enhance our college experience and with the expansion of our campus bookstore, the students are able to take advantage of an aray of different items. So I guess many of you would like to know how im doing in the nursing school, well everything is coming along great. I am taking two clinical classes this semester, Maternity and Med Surge I, which require me to travel to University Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia, both located in Augusta, GA. These classes are great and help to give me experience in the field of nursing.

Hopefully this semester will bring about alot of new and different oppurtunities, not only with the University and with classes in general, but with my fraternity and all of the many other organizations that I am involved in. Well folks thats all I have time for today...because of course I have to go study, but until next time, yall stay safe and stay out of trouble.

Hey everybody, and thanks for tuning in to the next installment of Ken's life...lol, but I hoping everyone has had a safe and productive last couple of weeks and that everything is going well. As for me, everything is going great, I have been making some good grades in all of my nursing classes and I am really having fun in all of my clinicals. Though this semester is already starting to get a little tough, I am having a lot fun learning some new and different things. Before my Maternity clinicals actually started I thought that I would not get as many exciting experiences as my female classmates, because some when are a little apprehensive when they have a male nurse, but I am happy to report that I have been learning a lot and having fun in the process. I have gotten to see some cool surgeries and have even given a few injections here and there. My Adult Health clinicals are fun too, but it can sometimes be depressing to see your patient on bedrest and he or she requires total care (Bathing, feeding, cleaning stools, etc.) but I have been learning a lot there as well.

Though I love being in Aiken (I REALLY DO) I feel like I need a break. I want to go home and chill with my family, and see my little brother play football (#23 best Corner in SC) one friday night, but I also know I have got a lot of work to do and my family knows that I am taken care of. But thats all I have for now everybody, so until next time ya'll stay safe and stay out trouble.
