Hey Everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I posted anything. (I’ve been uber busy). Since I last posted, a lot has happened.
I went on the Leadership Retreat to Greenville, SC. I had so much fun! Dave Coleman was AMAZING to say the least. He really taught me a lot, and I really feel like everyone there left Greenville a changed person. I had a blast! I wish I could hang out with him all the time…but anyway. AIRPORT!!!!!!
When I got back to Aiken, I had to get ready for Orientation. By the way…
…BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE GOLD GROUP! FLAVA FLAV!!!! I absolutely loved my orientation group again. I had, by far, the best group ever…and the best partner. I can’t wait until next summer now so that I can do Pacesetters again!
After Orientation, of course, we all started classes! I love my classes this semester. I’m so happy to finally be in my major classes. I’m taking all business classes and having a ball with it. I hope I don’t get too confused though, because several of my classes have similar information in the first few chapters. The good part about that is that I’ll actually know what’s going on! Yeah!
I’ve also been working hard on Sorority Recruitment for Alpha Omicron Pi, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Phi Mu. Right now, I am disaffiliated from my sorority, and I miss my sisters tons!! It’s hard to not be involved in your sisterhood, especially for me. But I’m gonna make it! You can also visit the sororitie’s tables at Get On Board Days August 30-31 from 10-2 in the Quad, visit the Greek Life Office in the Student Activities Center, or visit the Greek Life website to fill out a Greek Life Recruitment Application at www.usca.edu/greeklife. Greek Forum is coming up on September 6th at 6 pm the Business and Education Building Gym…right before the PUB Luau. This is a good opportunity to see what each organization is all about. Even if you don’t think that Greek Life is “for you”, I’d encourage you to come check out Greek Forum so that you can learn more about Greek Life on this campus! For those of you interested in Sorority Recruitment, please come to Sorority Orientation on September 10th at 6 pm in the Etherredge Center. Sorority Recruitment Applications along with at $5 application fee are due by September 11th at 10 am, and Formal Recruitment will start on September 11th at 5 pm. I’m not doing much else right now. I finally got involved in PUB again (I’ve missed it) and I’m looking forward to going to Groovin in the Alley on Thursday…but I’m not sure how I’m going to watch the Gamecocks win their season opener while I’m there…oh well, I’ll work something out! By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA! LOVE YOU!
