Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. I've been super busy with everything going on in my life. I haven't been home in over a month. I'm really starting to miss it. It kind of scares me that I'm starting to miss home so much because what I really want to do when I graduate is travel with my sorority for a year to two to get some experience with different kinds of Greek chapters to give myself some concrete experience before I go to grad school. Typically, if you travel like that, they will not put you in the region you went to undergrad in...so there's a potential that I will be on the other side of the country this time next year. I really think I would enjoy it and I think I just miss home so much right now because it's only an hour away and I'm too busy to get there. It seems silly to me that I can't find time to head up there, but oh well. I guess I'm scared about a lot right now. Being a senior is not easy. I'm taking six classes next semester. That's going to be tough, but I know I can do it as long as I keep my priorities straight. My top priority until May is graduating. I love USCA, but I'm ready to see what else is out there. I guess now that I've told ya'll how much of a baby I am, I'll tell you what I've been up to.
I went to NACA in September and it was amazing! I had so much fun and I learned a lot and made some new friends and got closer to some old friends. It was really a lot of fun. In October, I went back to New Orleans for the Alternative Fall Break trip. It was a lot of fun. It was especially fun this year because more of my friends went, and even one of my professors went. It was so much fun working with so many people that are truly important in my life to accomplish something so great. Also, in October we started our Flag Football Season for Intramurals. It's so much fun playing football with my sisters. We really do have a great time and it's also fun to work toward defending our title from last year...just in case you didn't know--Phi Mu is reigning Flag Football Champs and Intramural Points Champs for 2006-2007!
Life was kind of dull for a while after that. My sorority had a few socials like a Toga Party with the guys in Lambda Chi Alpha and a Halloween Party with the boys in Tau Kappa Epsilon. I really do like having socials with other Greek organizations because they are fun and we get to know new people! Earlier this week, I went to the Kicks 99 Guitar Pull with one of my really good friends! I had so much fun and I really am glad he asked me to go with him!
