PEER EDUCATORS
"Students
Helping
Students"

What are Peer Educators?

Peer Educators are student leaders who are actively participating in campus life . The Peer Educator program was created in order to promote the success of USCA students by providing positive and proactive programming to help meet the challenges facing them in the campus community.

At times when students might be reluctant to seek assistance from university faculty or staff members, the Peer Educators are available with appropriate, on-target help. Four Peer Educators have been selected, hired, and trained to assist in the health and social development of our students.

How do Peer Educators assist USC Aiken students?

Programs are offered on important health and wellness issues such as alchohol and drug abuse, depression, STDs and sexual topics, stress management, healthy eating, etc. Peers are also available to meet with students one-on-one and serve as a resource for student organizations, faculty, and staff.

The Peer Educators promote an atmosphere in which students can honestly and openly talk about issues in order to develop responsible habits and healthy relationships.
