Our History


A Proud Past...

 

 

Phi Mu Fraternity was founded in 1852 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia,

by three women who desired a bond of sisterhood and service.

Phi Mu first colonized the Lambda Delta Chapter at the University of

South Carolina Aiken in the Fall of 1988. The first Lambda Delta Chapter

of Phi Mu at the University of South Carolina Aiken closed in 1994.

 

 

 

 

In 1995, fourteen women along with the assistance of Angie Osbon, aPhi Mu Alumnae,

 founded a local sorority named Delta Zeta Chi.

 

 

 

 

In 2001, after six successful years as a local sorority, Delta Zeta Chi joined

Phi Mu National Fraternity and the Lambda Delta Colony

was re-opened at USC Aiken.

 

 

 

 

A Promising Future...

 

 

 

 

The Lambda Delta Chapter of Phi Mu was reinstalled

on Sunday November 23, 2003. A new beginning to a

historic and deeply rooted Fraternity.
