Welcome to South Carolina Politics, a course taught over the Web!

In this course we will examine South Carolina politics in terms of the culture and history of the state and its governmental institutions, processes and policies at both the state and local level. The student will come away with an understanding of how South Carolina became what it is today, an ability to converse about South Carolina politics using accurate terminology, and to engage in the ongoing debate about how the state can meet the challenges of the future in key areas such as education and planning.

To get started in the course, go to the bookstore and buy your textbook, read the syllabus, and then to go the course schedule and assignments and follow instructions.
