In this course we will examine the 2008 presidential election, carefully tying current events to what political scientists have learned about presidential election politics. Every presidential election is historic, but this one has more historical precedents than any in recent history. And given the multiple crises the United States is facing, it is particularly important.

To get started in the course, go to the bookstore and buy your textbook, read the syllabus, and then to go the course schedule and assignments, and read news about the election each and every day!
