I received my PhD from the University of South Carolina in 1988. I have an MPA degree from UNC and a BA in Sociology from Syracuse University. I teach a variety of courses, including American Government, Judicial Politics, Gender Theory, and five other undergraduate level Public Administration courses. My current research interests include the political socialization of college students, women and politics, and how governmental units address pet overpopulation.
