Welcome to the Department of History, Political Science
and Philosophy.
Our department includes complete bachelor of arts degrees in history and political science, as well as a philosophy concentration in our bachelor of interdisciplinary studies program. Our programs are especially well-suited for students interested in pre-law. We even sponsor a club devoted to helping students make the jump into law school--check out our clubs section.
We are a community of active scholars and researchers, but our greatest source of pride is the quality of teaching we provide. Most of our faculty have either won or have been nominated for teaching awards at the local, state, and national levels. We are especially proud of the individual attention we provide our students, comparable with the kind found at the very best small, exclusive, liberal arts colleges, or at the graduate level.
