Text Box: The University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) Psychology Clinic is a psychological service, training, and   research center that provides treatments for clients with a variety of problems. In addition, we offer cognitive and diagnostic assessments for a number of issues.
The USCA Psychology Clinic provides general mental health services for adjustment and phase of life issues (e.g.,  divorce, family discord) as well as treatment in specialty areas such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and childhood behavior  problems. 
Therapists provide services with and/or under the supervision of licensed psychologists. The USCA  Psychology Clinic is designed to provide high quality services to clients and to gain information that will contribute to the further understanding and treatment of other individuals who experience similar concerns.
Therapists help clients maintain mental and behavioral health by providing a variety of services for children, adults, and families. 
Some of the services offered include   psychological assessment, individual and group therapy, and family therapy.
Who is eligible for services?
Anyone may schedule an appointment for an initial intake. It is not necessary for individuals to be affiliated with USCA to receive services at the Psychology Clinic. Should the USCA Psychology Clinic not be suitable for the needs of a client, a referral will be made to an appropriate service provider. 
What is the fee for services?
The USCA Psychology Clinic operates on a sliding fee scale, ranging from $5 to $45 per individual therapy session and from $25 to $250 for testing.
Confidentiality
Visits are protected by the highest professional standards of confidentiality, as specified by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA; 1996), South Carolina state law and the American Psychological Association's "Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct."
Specialty Services
· Anxiety and Stress-Related Disorders:   Psychological evaluation and treatment for problems such as panic symptoms, anxiety, social phobia, excessive worrying, and disturbing thoughts is available for both adults and children.
· Depression: Children and adults can receive therapy designed especially for problems with depression. Loss of interest, troubled sleep, and feelings of emptiness and loneliness are some of the signs associated with depression.
· Child/Adolescent Behavior Problems: Treatment for problems including, but not limited to, aggression, noncompliance, and difficulty in social and academic performance is available for children and their families. Family therapy designed to reduce parent-adolescent conflict also is available. 
· Trauma-Focused Treatment: Treatment is available for children and adults with symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder that resulted from exposure to a traumatic/stressful event, such as exposure to physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, or a car accident.
· Testing: Assessments for learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or other psychological or memory difficulties. 
Location
The USCA Psychology Clinic is located in the Psychology Department, Suite 204 in the Penland Administration Building on the USCA campus. Parking is available in the visitor spaces in front of the building.
Hours 
The USCA Psychology Clinic is open for appointments only. Please call 641–3775 to schedule an appointment. The USCA Psychology Clinic will be closed if USCA is closed. Hours will be adjusted during holidays.
