Jeremy Smith
" I am an athlete here at USC Aiken. The professors work well with me, and understand that I am going to miss class occasionally. They take time to explain to me the things I missed. USC Aiken is the place for me. "

- Jeremy Smith , Business Administration major

Students in Class
Did You Know?
USC Aiken has some of the best professional schools in South Carolina. All three - business, nursing, and education - have received the highest level of accreditation possible. This means more opportunities for you to learn from the best and brightest the University has to offer.

Dalisha Williams
"USC Aiken has the best faculty around! Professors and advisors really have your best interest in mind and will always work with you."

- Dalisha Williams, Middle School Education major

Aaron Doctor
"USC Aiken has so much to offer. Whether it’s Greek life, student activities, athletics, honor societies, or residential life, our campus is full of opportunities and ways to become involved."

- Aaron Doctor, Exercise and Sports Science major

John Ellis
"USCA has many different students from many different backgrounds, but one thing that ties us all together is the campus atmosphere. When I left high school I was scared that I was not going to meet anyone that would be as good as my friends back home. Within my first couple of days at USCA, I had more friends than I have ever had before."

- John Ellis, Communications major

TJ Langford
"During the course of my freshman and sophomore years, I was a resident in the Pacer Downs. When I first met my roommate my freshman year, we became the best of friends from the get-go. We found out that we were so much alike in many ways. We connected like brothers, and we are still roommates today during our junior year. "

- Anthony (T.J.) Langford, Communications major

TJ Johnston
"Getting involved in Greek Life and participating in intramural sports is a great way to meet new people. I have participated in every intramural sport offered, and it has helped me stay active. "

- TJ Johnston, Business Marketing major

Chris Brown
"Working on campus is a great opportunity for students at USC Aiken. You have the chance to meet so many faculty and staff members and see what happens behind the scenes here at school. Your job will also work around your class schedule because they always put academics first. "

- Chris Brown, Fine Arts major

Kelsey LopezdeVictoria
"I love living in the Honors housing here at USCA. Just living on campus makes participating in university events and activities that much easier. Living in the honors wing is an added bonus because it keeps me in close proximity with like-minded students who are committed to succeeding and in turn inspire me to reach my fullest potential. The atmosphere is great for learning."

- Kelsey LopezdeVictoria, Biology and Psychology double major

Jessica Walters
"Through the wide variety of classes and clubs, USCA offers a little something for everyone. Its small class sizes, charm, and personal professors make it the perfect choice."

- Jessica Walters, Nursing major

Thomas Mcleod
"As a sophomore at USCA, I have really enjoyed the college classroom setting. Since the class sizes aren’t too big, I can always get help from professors anytime I’m in need."

- Thomas Mcleod, Exercise and Sports Science major

Alyssa Gadsden
"Attending USC Aiken has been a great experience for me. From the campus events to classes and to housing, we are a like a family – a home away from home."

- Alyssa Gadsden, Chemistry major

Alesha Jones
"I love attending USC Aiken because I feel as if am in a family oriented environment. What I love most about is its location, the independence you gain from attending, and our Pacer spirit!"

- Alesha Jones, Communications major

Dana Hallat
"I never thought I would meet people from all around the world on such a small campus. You can find the best of both worlds: the advantages of a big campus in a small, friendlier environment."

- Dana Hallat, Biology (pre-dental) major

  • WOW!!!
  • Man it seems like just yesterday I was writing my first blog entry and I was a young nieve freshman with big ideas but little skills. Now I'm winding down my sophmore semester and will be a junior in just 2 and a half short months. Just got back from a quick spring break and I'm trying to get my bearings to finish out this semester strong. I've been working alot to keep my time filled so as if to not think about baseball and the fact that I cant play anymore! But hey all great things must come to an end and I've really filled my schedule wit many enjoyable things to keep me occupied. Check back for updates and see how this 2nd part of semester runs its course. PEACE, LOVE, and ROCK $ ROLL BABY!!!
    Phillip!

  • gettin' closer
  • well.... here we go, the semster is almost over and I can tell because the test and papers are starting to pile up. Though thats a bad thing its also a good thing because Christmas is around the corner and is gunna be pretty nice to get away from the monotany of school. Its been a pretty good semester, but a busy one too. The exams for this semester are looking like there going to be just the run of the mill college exams but I'm def. gunna have to study if I wanna keep the grades up going into the spring. Well time to catch up on some work so check back for some updates this week. PEACE!!!

  • Yo!
  • Yo whats up guys and girls! This week was pretty good and like all the others its gone by pretty fast. I've had alot of stuff with work and school but I think I'm balancing it good enough. I've been writing alot of songs lately and I cant wait to get into the studio to record. I think they'll come out pretty good. I've been working on them for a good while and I think I'm satisfied with them enough to record some tracks on 'em. Thanks for checkin; in and I'll be sure to update this week!!

  • moving forward
  • Time is flying by and so far its been a real busy semester. One thing that college will teach you for sure is time managment and how important it is. I'm doing pretty well as far as grades gp, and I think the only reason for that is that at USCA you go to your professor anytime and ask questions. That part of USCA helps me stay on track so much. Well time for class, but everything is starting to settle a bit before Christmas break so I'll be sure to keep you guys updated quite a bit. Thanks for stopping by.

  • moving Quick
  • Man! once again time is flying by and so is the semester. We are full blown tests, quizzes and papers already. Its tough to stay on top of everything while working and going to school, but hey! I guess thats what its all about, right? Classes aren't bad but it has been tough to hear all the guys talking about practice and and everything knowing I'll never play again. But as one door closes another one opens. Cedar Creek church is going to be opening a church in the convocation center here on campus and i was hired to lead music which is exciting and all too scary at the same time. Thats going to be a real test of time managment but hopefully it will work out. Thanks for checkin in everybody and look back for a mid-week update.

  • Start Up
  • Hey Guys! Its the start of school and its already going 1000 miles an hour. It was a great summer but as the fimilar statement resounds, it was all too short. I think I've got some good professors this semester and it should be another good one. With the new dorms being added it seems like were a big D-1 school now. If you read any blogs from last year you'll know that I was playing baseball but had alot of arm problems and had some pretty major surgeries and it doesn't look like I'm ever going to be playing again!!! That was a tough one to swallow. Well time to catch up on work, you def. don't wanna fall behind in the beginning or you'll never catch back up. Have a good one. PEACE!!!

  • Busy, Busy, Busy
  • Man. I never thought it could get so busy around here. This last end of the semester is really shaping up to be pretty tough. I have got so much going on at one time. It's CRAZY! But, i guess that is the life of a college student. Atleast we only have like one more full week of classes. Which is nice. Baseball is still going pretty good. I just sucks that I cant play becuase of my shoulder and everything, but god willing, I will back on the old hill before long. Check back for end of the year wrap ups soon!!!

  • Spring is Here
  • Man it is nice to finally have some warm weather. I just wish this wasn't also the time when every teacher makes everything due at the same time. Oh well! Atleast we will be done in like 2 weeks. It so different from high school when you dont get out till like june, whereas here we are done by the end of april/begginning of May. Baseball has been great. We are doing well so far but really need to pick it up to clinch the peach belt title. This year has been really good so far and the adjustment from high school has been pretty easy. USCA is a great place to do that. It has alot of things to get involved in and the classroom size is small enough where the proffessors know you by name. Well thats all for now so check back for updates.

  • Spring is Here!
  • Man! Its great to have some warm weather finally roll around. Spring break is here and its time to get a break from all the school work. This semester has been going really well and the professors have been great so far. I cant believe that once we are back from spring break, we have only a month and a half before school is out for the entire summer, which is great considering how late I used to get out for summer in high school. Baseball has been going really well. I am recovering from my shoulder surgery pretty well, and the team is playing great. Its gunna be tough to alieviate the pain of coming back from spring break but it will be nice to keep the near future of beaches and babes in visible reality as summer begins to infringe. Well, check back for some updates. PEACE Phillip

  • Moving Along
  • Well, We've really started getting into the semster now and the tests are coming fast. I already have had two and I've got another coming up. They haven't been too bad so far but I really gotta stay on top of it. Baseball has been going well, we are 4-2 so far. It really sucks having to sit this year out but rehab for my shoulder is going well and hopefully I ll be back in a few months. Other than all the tests the school semester has been going pretty well, but check back for updates cause theres always something going on.
