Fall Semester 2004

April 5 - 9 (Mon - Fri) - Advisement begins for currently enrolled students.

April 12 - 16 (Mon - Fri) - Priority Registration for Summer/Fall 2004 for currently enrolled students.  VIP and the Registration Center located in 109 in the Penland Administration Building will be available as well as FDR from some advisors.

April 16 (Fri) - Last day for Priority Registration for Summer/Fall 2004 for currently enrolled students.

August 13 - 16 (Fri - Mon) - Walk-in fee processing in the Finance Office, Penland Administration Building, Room 114, from 9 a.m - 5 p.m. on August 13th and from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on August 16th for those students who participated in Priority Registration and need to apply Financial Aid in person. 

Students who registered during Priority Registration may use these days to make schedule adjustments via VIP.

August 16 (Mon) - VIP closes at 6 p.m.  Cancellation of schedules for non-payment of fees at 6 p.m.

August 17 (Tue) - New students, re-admit students, and transfer students registration and fee processing -                                  1 p.m. - 6 p.m. continuously in the Penland Administration Building.

August 18 (Wed) - New students, re-admit students, and transfer students registration and fee processing -                       9 a.m. - 12 p.m. continuously in the Penland Administration Building.

Registration and fee processing for continuing students -            1 p.m. - 6 p.m. continuously in the Penland Administration Building.

August 18 (Wed) - VIP closes at 6 p.m.  2nd cancellation of schedules for non-payment of fees at 6 p.m.

August 19 (Thu) - UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE CLASSES BEGIN.

August 19 - 25 (Thu - Wed) - Late registration and schedule adjustments - 9:00am - 6:00pm in the Registration Center, 109 Penland Administration Building.  VIP will also be available all week as well as FDR from some advisors.  Note: the Registration Center will close at 5:00pm on Friday, August 20th.

August 25 (Wed) - Last day to register and/or change your schedule for Fall 2004 classes in Sessions A002 and N002.  Last day to drop a course or withdraw without record for Fall 2004 classes in Sessions A002 and N002.  Last day to elect/revoke audit option for Fall 2004 classes in Sessions A002 and N002.

August 25 (Wed) - VIP closes at 6:00pm.; Final cancellation of schedules for non-payment of fees at 6:00pm.

September 3 (Fri) - Last day to apply for December 2004 graduation.  Last day to submit Rising Junior Proficiency Portfolio in Writing for Fall 2004.

September 6 (Mon) - Labor Day--no classes. The University will be closed.

October 7 (Thu) - Mid-point in semester.

October 13 (Wed) - Last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a "WF" for Fall 2004 classes in Sessions A002 and N002.  Last day to elect/revoke pass/fail option for Fall 2004 classes in Sessions A002 and N002.

October 14 - 15 (Thu - Fri) - Fall Break--no classes.

November 1 (Mon) - Advisement for Spring 2005 begins for currently enrolled students.

November 2 (Tue) - General Election Day--no classes.

November 8 - 12 (Mon - Fri) - Priority Registration for Spring 2005 for currently enrolled students.

November 12 (Fri) - Last day for Priority Registration for Spring 2005 for currently enrolled students.

November 24 - 28 (Wed - Sun) - Thanksgiving Holiday--no classes.

December 3 (Fri) - UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE CLASSES END.

December 6 - 7 (Mon - Tue) - Reading days.

December 8 - 14 (Wed - Tue) - Final exams.

December 16 (Thu) - Convocation at 7:00 p.m. in the SAC Gym.


Spring Semester 2005

Academic Calendar

November 1 (Mon) - Advisement for Spring 2005 begins for currently enrolled students.

November 8 - 12 (Mon - Fri) - Priority Registration for Spring 2005 for currently enrolled students.

November 12 (Fri) - Last day for Priority Registration for Spring 2005 for currently enrolled students.

April 25 (Mon) - UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE CLASSES END.

April 26 - 27 (Tue - Wed) - Reading days.

April 28 - May 4 (Thu - Wed) - Final exams.

May 5 (Thu) - Commencement at 7:00 p.m. in the SAC Gym.


Maymester 2005 

Academic Calendar

May 6 (Fri) - Registration - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  

Note:  VIP will not be available on May 6th.  Students registering for Maymester classes on May 6th will need to bring their advisement form to the Records Office in Room 109 of the Penland Administration Building to have their registration processed.

May 9 (Mon) - CLASSES BEGIN.

May 9 (Mon) - Last day to drop a course or withdraw without any record for Maymester 2005 classes in Session A003Last day to elect/revoke audit option for Maymester 2005 classes in Session A003.

May 13 (Fri) - Last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a "WF" for Maymester 2005 classes in Session A003.  Last day to elect/revoke pass/fail option for Maymester 2005 classes in Session A003.

Note:  VIP will not be available during Maymester for any type of registration activity.  Students will need to process all schedule adjustments in the Records Office in Room 109 of the Penland Administration Building.

May 24 (Tue)  - CLASSES END.

May 25 (Wed) - Final exams.


Summer I 2005

During the Summer I 2005 semester, classes will meet Monday - Thursday.

May 25 (Wed) - Registration - 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

May 26 (Thu) - CLASSES BEGIN.

May 30 (Mon) - Last day to drop a course or withdraw without any record for Summer I 2005 classes in Session A002Last day to elect/revoke audit option for Summer I 2005 classes in Session A002.

May 30 (Mon) - Memorial Day - Classes will be held

June 2 (Thu) - Last day to apply for August graduation

June 9 (Thu) - Last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a "WF" for Summer I 2005 classes in Session A002.  Last day to elect/revoke pass/fail option for Summer I 2005 classes in Session A002.

June 27 (Mon) - CLASSES END.

June 28 - 29 (Tue-Wed) - Final exams.


Summer II 2005

During the Summer II 2005 semester, classes will meet Monday - Thursday.
