Tickets: The December 2008 Convocation ceremony is a ticketed event. All degree candidates who plan to march in the December 2008 Convocation ceremony will need to pick up tickets for their family and guests. Everyone (including children) attending the ceremony must have a ticket.
Tickets will be available in the Records Office, Penland Administration Building, Room 109. If you are unable to come in to the office to pick up your tickets, call us at 641-3550 and we will gladly mail your tickets.
If you need additional tickets, check with other degree candidates to determine if anyone has unwanted tickets.
The Ceremony: The December 2008 Convocation ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the USCA Convocation Center, 375 Robert Bell Parkway, Aiken, SC.
Guests should arrive before 6:45 p.m. as noted on their tickets. The doors to the arena area will close at 6:50 p.m. for the processional. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Parking: Parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Convocation Center. Additional parking lots are located on the campus of USCA. A capacity crowd is expected so allow extra travel time as an alternate parking lot may need to be considered.
Child Care: Due to a limited capacity and licensing restrictions at the USC Aiken Child Care Center, the University will no longer be able to provide child care services during the convocation ceremony. If children are brought to the ceremony, they must have a ticket.
Baby Strollers: Baby strollers may not be taken in to the arena area of the Convocation Center since there is little space on the arena floor and since they create a hazard for other guests trying to reach their seats.
