Graduation

Graduation Application Information

Students wishing to receive a degree from the University of South Carolina Aiken must complete a degree application in the Office of the Registrar, Penland Administration Building, Room 109.  This must be done by the deadline for that semester.  Once the degree application has been completed, a staff member in the Registrar's Office will attach a printout of the student's academic work to the application. The student will then take the application and the academic record to their advisor for the senior check.  After the initial check, the form is given to their respective department chair/school head for approval pending any course work to be completed that semester.

Listed below are dates typical for the deadline for submitting the graduation application for each semester:

  • For students graduating in May, the deadline is typically the last Friday in January.
  • For students graduating in August and marching in the May ceremony, the deadline is typically April 1st.
  • For students graduating in August, the deadline is typically the first Friday in June.
  • For students graduating in December, the deadline is typically the first Friday in September. For specific deadline information for each semester, contact the Records Office at 641-3550

Cap and Gown Orders

For Cap, Gown, and Announcement ordering information and deadlines please contact the USCA Bookstore at 803-641-3457, bookstore@usca.edu, www.uscabookstore.com.

(NOTE:  An order placed for a cap and gown and announcements, does not  guarantee a student will march in a commencement/convocation ceremony.  The graduation application must be completed by the deadline and be on file in the Records Office to be eligible to march in a ceremony.)
