We did it one more time....

What a great day Tuesday, November 4, was. Once again, millions of Americans went to the poles and voted on the most powerful position in the world. Nobody died, nobody got hurt, it was all done in a sane and peaceful manner. There are many places in the world that cannot say that. In fact, there are many places in the world where voting does not happen. The founders of our nation figured it out over 200 years ago. I wish I was that smart. If you voted, thank you. If you didn't, call me and I will help get you registered.

LET US GIVE THANKS!

LET US GIVE THANKS!!

I know it sounds cheesy - but Thanksgiving is a time of reflection and thanks. There are so many reasons to give thanks, not only as Americans, but also as world citizens. There are always challenges and areas that are in dire need of help and assistance. However, there are also many bright points of absolute wonder. The human spirit continues to amaze me. I give thanks to all of the kindness that is spread throughout the world. I give thanks for the encouragement and help that I and a billion others receive everyday. I especially give thanks for the love and caring that exemplifies the human condition. Yes, I don't argue that there is suffering in the world and a large part of that suffering is man made. But I will not and can not discount the many acts of love, kindness, and caring that I witness everyday. HAPPY THANKSGIVING - PEACE
