Once again, we have changed the head of our government. And once again, we did it without bloodshed, violence, National Guard Units, or local police. It was one thing to go to the polls and vote peacefully, something that I can not take lightly or for granted. But to carry it further, we PEACEFULLY installed the new administration, even though it was in drastic opposition to the old one. YOU AND I SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF THAT. What a great form of government and what a tribute to the people of our country.
JUST 46 YEARS AGO
And now on a personal note. My elementary, junior high and high school did not have separate drinking fountains or bathrooms BECAUSE THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THEM - THERE WERE NO AFRICAN-AMERICANS STUDENTS ALLOWED TO GO TO MY SHOOL. However, I do remember segregated bathrooms at gas stations. There was a segregated waiting room at my doctor's office. The Aiken Theatre (on Laurens) had a balcony for African-Americans (always thought it would be fun to sit up there but they wouldn't let me). What has all this got to do with the inauguration?? Forty-five years ago we passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which made discrimination based on race against the law. Forty-six years ago, I could tell a man he could not have a job, or a desk in school, or a seat at a restaurant SIMPLY BECAUSE HE WAS BLACK. Listen to what I am saying, Forty-Six years ago, the Aiken Theatre would have made President Obama sit in the balcony or use a separate bathroom. That is how far we have come in Forty-Six years. Now, it took a hundred years of hard work just to get to 1964, but Civil Rights as we know them have only existed as public policy in this country for Forty Six years. I amazed at the progress we have made and still more amazed at the miles we must travel to reach our goal. But I am proud of all of us. Look what we did. We peacefully elected a President. We peacefully said, AS A NATION, this is the man we want to lead us. We peacefully said "We don't care what color his skin is, we want him to be president". The last couple of months have filled me with pride, and optimism, and hope. Truth be told, I have always had these feeling about our country, but lately is has been tough.
President Obama is not the endall. He is a man, with human limitations. All a leader can hope to do is convince his followers to follow him. I believe he will succeed in that. Things are not going to change tomorrow, or radically, or even in the direction that we may want. But remember this, YOU AND I CHANGE THINGS, NOT THE PRESIDENT OR THE CONGRESS. You and I will change our policy. You and I will allow torture or denounce torture. You and I will allow bailouts or end bailouts. You and I will find alternative energy sources or continue to burn fossil fuel. You and I will find a way to give affordable healthcare to all Americans or let many of our fellow citizens suffer through inadequate or no health care at all. It is up to us. I believe we have a President that will help and allow us to do what WE need to do. That is all I ask.

Democracy truly is an amazing privilege. What's not amazing is his plans to veto Bush's abortion exec. orders and declare abortion as 100% legal disregarding states rights to issue laws. How is that the rights of the majority?
In some instances, we win as a democratic union. Too often... we lose. The electoral college has wrongly elected 3 Presidents in the history of this country. It's a small number... but it's a huge sacrifice.
Obama may have won fair and square... but hopefully he will continue to pursue actions that truly reflect the desires of his nation.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be importantcheap shirt wholesale.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

There are 4 rewrite mode from Good to Best that you can choose. The more rewrite of the content the more unique the article will be, but I find the readability level is changing as well. The higher percentage the article is rewritten, the less readable the article will be. If you have to consider your visitors reading experience, you should choose "Best" option. Also remember by not replace the keyword that you want to optimize. You can do so by entered in the Protected Terms option to keep the keyword unchanged. After you have protect your optimized keywords, then click "Replace" and all synonyms will be replaced at once. Finally click on "Spun Aricle" to get your fresh article. The advantage of using the automatic function of The Best Spinner is it work very fast, and you can save a lot of time, but the disadvantage is the readability rate is lower compare to rewrite manually.

The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
