The School of Business Administration's

Summer Study Abroad Program:

Prague

Czech Republic

The School of Business Administration would like to welcome you to our new Summer Study Abroad Program in Prague and the beautiful mountain village, Stara Lubovna in Slovakia.  We go right after school ends in May, for two plus weeks of Maymester.  We return in time for the first semester of USCA summer school.

As our mission states, our programs should prepare our students to meet the challenges of global business and dynamic society.  A Study Abroad Program like this one helps our students to gain unique experiences and learn about business around the world!

This innovative program was initiated in May 1999. It was such a great success, that the School has decided to continue the project as a yearly event.  Our Summer Studies Abroad Program is a rewarding educational experience that allows students to engage in a unique and enlightening learning format. In addition to an academic experience, the trip offers opportunity to understand the amazing history and culture of Eastern Europe. Prague, no longer Europe’s 'best kept' touring secret, remains one of its most magical, romantic and invigorating places!

The USCA Studies Abroad Program, sponsored by The School of Business Administration, is designed to give enterprising students first hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing an emerging economy. This is a rare opportunity to experience the conversion of Central Europe’s most progressive country from a centrally planned, socialistic economy to the free market.

The coursework consists of an intensive one week orientation on the Aiken campus covering both coursework and the Czech Republic’s history, politics , economy and business environment. This is followed by flying to Europe, two plus weeks of classes, company visits, outside speakers and tours in and around the Czech Republic and the mountains of Slovakia. We offer our "core" International Business [BUS383] course and a changing Topic in International Business course.   Each course earns three credit hours, students can only take one course.

Make this part of your Education here at USCA. You’ll never forget or regret it!
