A primary goal of the music program is to equip the student with the skills necessary to achieve a successful and satisfying musical career. Surrounding arts organizations are an essential element for the achievement of this goal. Students are exposed to professional organizations such as the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Augusta Opera and the South Carolina Philharmonic.
Students may earn the Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts degree specializing in music, theater or art, or minor in music. The interdisciplinary aspect of the degree provides students with diverse opportunities in all three disciplines. Many university performances are a result of collaborative efforts of music, theater and art students.
The Music Program at USC Aiken provides a nurturing environment. The individual attention given to our students by our music faculty stresses personal artistic growth and musical achievement through a variety of performance and academic opportunities.
