Alena Pagal received a Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina, where she studied applied piano with Dr. Charles Fugo and piano pedagogy with Dr. Scott Price.
Ms. Pagal received a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance, with emphasis in literature, collaborative piano, and piano pedagogy from Bowling Green State University (OH). While at Bowling Green State University, she studied applied piano with Professor Virginia Marks.
Among other awards, Ms. Pagal was the 2003 collaborative pianist recipient of the Marjorie Conrad Peatee Artsong Competition; the 2004 recipient of the C. Elizabeth Cobb Memorial Scholarship for collaborative piano; and the 2002 recipient of the Helen Lakofsky Piano Scholarship. Ms. Pagal is active in the community as a teacher, collaborative pianist, and adjudicator.
