Transition Success Services

I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University in 2013, and I am currently a graduate student in Clinical Psychology here at USC Aiken. I am also a military family member; my father is a Gulf War veteran. My role at the VMSS is to provide you academic, social, and personal support so that you can maximize your current and future success. Such success is difficult to achieve when other aspects of your life interfere with you focus, abilities, and motivation. A few common problems you may experience that I can assist with include:

Academic: Test anxiety; time management; goal setting; organization skills; stress management.

Social: Marital or relationship problems; difficulties with professors; feelings of loneliness or social isolation; managing interpersonal conflict.

Personal: Assisting with life transitions; decision-making; work/life balance.

Understanding that “chain reactions” can develop from one life event to another and lead to a feeling of being overwhelmed, it is important to know that assistance is available and I am eager to be a part of your support system. Additionally, I can also be a bridge to various on-campus services including: Career Services, the Academic Success Center, Disability Services, and the Psychology Clinic.

I would love the opportunity to speak with you to discuss your current USC Aiken experience and make sure your needs are being met. Please don’t hesitate to set up an appointment with me. You can do so through my staff email (elizabethwi@usca.edu) or by calling the VMSS at (803) 643-6767.
