Objectives: Practice the one foot take off, isolating it to the last step and jump.
Player loads all of their weight on their right foot. Tosser tosses a ball in front of the Player. Player steps and jumps with left foot and lifts right knee, driving it toward the net. Player keeps left arm high and ball between the net and their right shoulder. Player swings and contacts ball. Repeat for set number of swings.
Variations:
Add a blocker or blockers. Move to different locations on the court, for example closer to the antennae to simulate a slide attack, or on the 10' line in order to train the hitter to attack with a high elbow.
