Objectives:
Practice releasing to the net or digging.
Setter and defenders start in defensive positions.
Hitter hits ball to any of the three defenders.
Setter must read hitter and release to the net if the ball is not hit to them.
If hitters hits to the setter they must dig the ball.
Rotate hitters.
Keep drill moving quickly, where hitters hit as soon as setter returns to digging position.
Variations:
Add blockers in front of the hitters.
Have coach select who hits by standing behind defenders and signaling which hitter hits.
