Objectives:
Practice reading where the defender is playing and tipping the ball where the defender can not make a play on the ball.
Cover player tosses the ball to the setter.
Setter sets the hitter.
Hitter approaches and tips the ball over the block.
Cover player follow hitters in and tells hitter where the defender is playing.
Hitter gets + 1 for every ball that hits the floor without being touched by the defender.
Setter Switches sides.
Defender becomes and the tosser and blocker becomes the hitter.
After each side has hit switch front row and backrow players.
Play to a set number of points, the player that gets X number of points wins.
Variations:
Have the defender toss ball over the net to coverage person who will pass the ball to the setter.
