Professional Program

The School of Education’s baccalaureate curricula are divided into two years of general education and two years of professional education coursework. Any student who fulfills the university’s admission requirements may enroll in the pre-professional curriculum. Curricula designated as professional education courses are limited to candidates who have been formally accepted into the USCA Professional Education Program.

Eligibility Criteria for Professional Program

  • Completion of ENGL 101, 102, and communications requirement with a "C" or better
  • 60 credit hours of completed work
  • Has provided a current copy of his/her SLED check
  • Has provided a "cleared" TB test (completed in the last year)
  • Has provided "no records found" National Sex Offender Registry documentation
  • Has passing scores on Praxis Core or satisfactory scores on SAT/ACT
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Completed Professional Program Application Seminar (Blackboard)
