Under the direction of the Budget Director, the Budget Office seeks to:

• Assist all business officers in executing the board-approved budget

• Assist principle investigators in adhering to grant-imposed budget and fiscal guidelines and complying with the policies, procedures, and documentation in conjunction with the generally accepted accounting principles of the state of South Carolina

• Ensure that the University maintains a sound financial status and operates within the budget limitations established by the General Assembly and Board of Trustees

• Provide the essential support services that maximize the use of limited resources to meet the University's mission.
