Instructor of Business

The School of Business Administration (SOBA) at USC Aiken invites applications for an Instructor of Business. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenured track, teaching, research, and service faculty position. The expected start date is August 16, 2025.

Requirements: Candidates must be willing to teach undergraduate business courses as assigned in both in-person and online settings. Face-to-face teaching each semester is a requirement of this position. Candidates must have a conferred master’s degree by 8/15/25. The degree must be in business, or a field related to a business discipline from a university with an AACSB-accredited program. ABD preferred. Candidates for this position must meet the USC Aiken AACSB faculty qualifications based on a combination of scholarship and/or professional practice.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Associate Dean

The University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) invites applications for the Associate Dean, School of Business Administration position. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position. The expected start date is August 16, 2025.

The School of Business Administration at USC Aiken is AACSB-accredited, employs 17 full-time faculty members, and maintains five endowed faculty positions. The school enrolls over 700 undergraduate students and offers undergraduate business concentrations in accounting, finance, management, and marketing through traditional face-to-face instruction. The accounting and management concentrations are also offered online through USC’s Palmetto College. The school also offers an online MBA degree that has grown quickly and serves over 700 graduate students. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Business Administration, the Associate Dean will assist in the school's academic, administrative, and budgetary leadership. The Associate Dean must be committed to providing an education that supports, develops, and creates skills and competencies in students based on the liberal arts. The Associate Dean must also support the Dean in leading the school in continuing to provide its students with the highest quality business education, per the standards and expectations of AACSB. The Associate Dean must model excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service and promote high expectations across the school. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D./DBA or other terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited institution, in a business-related field, with a record that justifies tenure as Full/Associate Professor.
  • Experience teaching both online and face-to-face graduate/undergraduate courses in the fields offered in the School of Business Administration.
  • Higher education administrative experience at the departmental level or above
  • Conduct research as needed (including conference papers, journals, and/or grants) to maintain academic qualifications as defined by AACSB.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the dean and faculty to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities that align with emerging priorities and the school's/university's overall mission and vision.
  • Coordinate and prepare draft accreditation reports, including data coordination and data presentation/visualization for both business program accreditation cycles.
  • Supervise Graduate and Undergraduate Academic Advising processes, including professional and classified personnel.
  • An ability to foster faculty development in the full range of teaching, research, and service
  • Assist the Dean in initiatives with budget, curriculum, and policy and procedure development as needed.
  • Lead and/or participate with collaborative teams to secure external funding opportunities that support strategic initiatives, including grants, fellowships, and industry partnerships.
  • Maintain School of Business Administration key deadlines regarding the primary functions of budget/finances, academic programming and reporting, hiring, AACSB accreditation, and university compliance; ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with school and university priorities.
  • Manage special programs or projects as assigned.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Instructor, Nursing

  • Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.

The School of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) invites applications for an Instructor of Nursing. This is a full-time 9-month non-tenured track faculty position. The expected start date is August 16, 2025. 

Requirements: A master’s degree in nursing or related field, with a doctoral degree preferred.  ABD applicants will be considered. Degree must be conferred by start date. Valid RN licensure in SC or a compact state is required. Primary teaching responsibility in a BSN program, with an expectation of teaching in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Online teaching may also be required.  A background in adult health nursing is preferred. Individuals with experience teaching writing intensive courses are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.

Assistant Professor of Nursing

  • Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.

The School of Nursing at USC Aiken invites applicants for an Assistant Professor to serve as a full-time faculty member. This is a 9-month tenure track position.  Expected start date is August 16, 2025. 

Requirements: Doctorate in Nursing or related field is required with a PhD preferred; however, ABD applicants will be considered. Degree must be conferred by start date.  Primary teaching responsibility in a BSN program, with an expectation of teaching in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Online teaching may also be required.  Individuals with experience teaching writing intensive courses and conducting research are strongly encouraged to apply. A background in medical-surgical nursing is preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.
