Diversity Round Tables

The Diversity Round Tables are open forum discussions that provide students the opportunity to take a deeper look at issues related to Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Marginalization through provocative yet civil discourse. These events will be used to foster a more understanding and culturally aware campus environment so that students graduating from USCA can be more successful in this diverse work force environment.

These are a few examples of previous Diversity Round Table topics:

  • TwitterGate: Revisiting the Tweet Incident of Fall '16 – Sept. 27
  • DACA, "The Wall," Socio-political Movements and whether it all impacts underrepresented students' ability to learn – Oct. 11
  • Halloween, Cultural Appropriation and Offensive Costumes – Oct. 25
  • South Carolina & Relics of the Past: A Conversation about Confederate Monuments – Nov. 4
