During the past academic year, School of Education faculty submitted eight Specialized Professional Associations (SPA) reports for our education programs for accreditation. Five received National Recognition and two received state recognition (these were not submitted for National recognition due to low numbers). This speaks to the quality of our teacher preparation programs.

The SoE faculty also had 32 publications in journals such as Journal of Social Studies Research, Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina, and South Carolina Middle School Journal.

SoE faculty made 89 presentations at state, national, and international professional meetings such as the American Education Research Association, Association of Teacher Educators, South Carolina Association for Teacher Education conference, South Carolina Middle School Association conference, South Carolina Association for Educational Technology, and the Association for Middle Level Education conference. The faculty wrote 23 grant applications and received funding in excess of $75,000.
