A Note About 2020 Family Day
Dear Pacer Family,
UofSC Aiken is doing a great job of mitigating COVID-19 this year. Knowing that the safety of students and their families are important to us, the university made a deliberate decision to postpone our traditional Family Day.
But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate! Families can still participate in Family Day Your Way, a self-guided option for on-and-off-campus activities during weekends in October.
It is a beautiful time of year in Aiken, and campus is lovely. You, your student and family can stroll through the beautiful quad, enjoy artwork in the Etherredge Center, or make a reservation to attend a planetarium show.
Extend your visit by taking advantage of Aiken’s wonderful culinary scene, explore Hopeland Gardens, or visit Aiken’s train museum and make a reservation for a trolley tour through historic Aiken.
A complete list of options is forthcoming on this webpage.
Please be aware of UofSC Aiken and the city of Aiken protocols when you visit, including wearing a mask and social distancing. Housing and Residence Life asks visitors to meet students in the lobby or outside to avoid congestion in confined spaces.
We hope you’ll plan now to share a nice fall weekend in Aiken with your Pacer family.
With Pacer Pride,
Christian Medders and Sandy Talbott, Family Day Co-Chairs
