Have a question about Title IV federal student aid or one of the services the Department of Education provides? Contact one of the Customer Service Centers or Federal Student Aid Offices. If you are not sure which Service Center to call, contact the Research and Customer Care Center at 800-433-7327.

If you have questions about our loan process at USC Aiken, you may contact our office.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your loan application is received in the UofSC Aiken Office of Financial Aid after July 1st, you should not expect loan funds to be available before the deadline to pay your Fall semester bill.
If your loan application is received in the UofSC Aiken Office of Financial Aid after December 15th, you should not expect loan funds to be available before the deadline to pay your Spring semester bill.
Federal Direct Loan Counseling
Loan Entrance Counseling is required for all first time borrowers in the Federal Direct Loan Program.* You may do your entrance counseling online at https://studentaid.gov/app/counselingInstructions.action?counselingType=entrance. You will need your FSA ID to log-in on this site.
*If you have previously done entrance loan counseling for the Federal Stafford or Direct Loan Program, you do not have to do entrance counseling on this website.
Loan Exit Counseling is required prior to graduation or departure from the University. You will do exit counseling online at https://studentaid.gov/app/counselingInstructions.action?counselingType=exit.
Graduate PLUS Loan Counseling
Loan counseling is also required for Graduate PLUS Loan borrowers and can be completed online at the websites listed above.
