If you already have an IMS ID and have forgotten your ID and/or password, you can find out your ID (or ID's if you have more than one) and reset your password via VIP (vip.sc.edu).
Follow these steps to find your ID and reset your password.
Step 1. Visit VIP (vip.sc.edu) and click the "log in to vip" link
Step 2. Click on either the USC ID/PIN tab or the My VIP ID/Password tab and enter the appropriate information. NOTE: If you do not know your USC ID/PIN and are a faculty or staff member, try calling USCA Human Resources at 803-641-3317.
Step 3. Once logged in, on the left-hand side of the screen click on the "Technology" Link.
Step 4. Next, click on the right-hand side of the screen click on "Show me Mainframe Computer Account Administration (IMS, CMS)"
Step 5. On the next screen you will be given an option to find out if you already have an ID and an option to reset your password. If you want to find your ID, simply select the option beside "Find out if you already have a user ID". Then, if you need a password reset for one or more of your accounts, then you can select the option that says, "Reset Your Password".
Note: It may take up to thirty minutes before your password is reset. So if you need access right away then call the USCA Help Desk (ext. 4357, on campus or 803-641-3391 from off campus).
