Financial Aid and Refund Questions
Under the guidance issued by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE), the University of South Carolina Aiken issued prorated refunds to students for meal plans and on-campus residential housing.
The prorated refunds included meal plans and on-housing fees for services not received on or after March 16, the first day of the extended Spring Break.
Tuition, academic fees, and student support fees were not refundable, per CHE guidance due to the continuity of educational programs.
Tuition is based on each student’s residency, regardless of the platform.
Housing Questions
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, the housing staff has conducted frequent deep cleanings in all residence halls. The cleaning schedule, which includes a hospital-grade disinfectant, will continue until face-to-face classes resume.
