Is my family eligible for Financial Aid?
We strongly encourage every student to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is March 15th of every year. We offer a wide variety of assistance to qualified students including institutional scholarships, federal and state grants, and loans.

How and when do you pay?
The Business Services Office does not mail bills. Tuition and fee payment due dates are determined by the student's registration. Generally, payments are due after registration and before the first day of classes.

After the student registers, payments can be mailed or paid in person at the Business Services Office, Room 114 Penland Administration Building, 471 University Parkway, Aiken, SC 29801. After registration and obtaining a VIP (Visual Information Processing) password, bills can be printed, viewed or paid online through Self Service Carolina with Discover, MasterCard, or American Express.

Payment is required with personal funds when a student's financial aid (loans, scholarships, grants) is not available or insufficient to cover the entire semester cost of tuition, fees, campus housing and campus meals. For additional information, please call the Business Services Office, 803-641-3456.
Does USC Aiken offer any payment plans?
USC Aiken offers a tuition payment plan to all students in good financial standing with no past due charges. Returning students must have a 2.0 GPA. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of classes.
Students pay 40% of the total bill after financial aid is applied, plus a $75 administrative fee. The remaining balance is divided into two equal payments payable over the next sixty days. The initial deposit and all subsequent payments must be paid with cash, check or money order. The cost of books cannot be included in this plan. This plan is not available for Maymester or Summer classes.
Students must contact the Business Services Office to set up the Deferred Payment Plan.
