Is USC Aiken accredited?
USC Aiken is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate degrees and master's degree in selected disciplines.
Additional accreditations include:
- School of Business Administration: - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB)
- School of Education - National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
- School of Nursing - Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
Because we offer the first two years plus many engineering courses towards USC Columbia's School of Engineering degree programs, we share accreditation by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

History of USC Aiken
Members of our faculty are some of the most qualified in the state of South Carolina. Their top priority is teaching the students. We have 122 full-time faculty members with 82% holding the highest degree in their academic area. In an effort to ensure that faculty and students develop good working relationships, our classes average 18 students in a class and our student/faculty ratio is 15:1. English 101 enrollment is capped at 20 so students can receive more individual assistance.
What academic programs are available?
USC Aiken offers a wide variety of programs, including bachelor degrees in more than 25 majors, a Master of Education Degree in Educator Leadership or Educational Technology, a Master of Business Administration, and Master of Science Degree in Applied Clinical Psychology.

We also have a way for students to enhance their degree: The USC Aiken Honors Program. Academically well-qualified and highly motivated students participate in special assignments in their regular classes through an approved Honors Contract. Completion of four Honors Contracts allows students to be recognized at graduation for being in the Honors Program.
