Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL)

The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) is a community outreach program of the Department of External Programs at the University of South Carolina Aiken, CLL offers an array of non-credit short courses and events of interests to adults in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Offerings cover a broad range of topics, both General Interest and Personal Technology. Offerings are for personal enrichment, non-academic credit, and there are no tests or grades. Each semester’s curriculum is created and managed by a group of dedicated volunteers under the direction of the voluntary curriculum committee. Instructors are drawn from current and retired USCA Faculty and from many experts in diverse fields located in our community.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) is to provide both structured and informal continuing education opportunities for adults in the CSRA in conjunction with USCA. These opportunities shall include in-person lecture classes, technology classes, field trips, and social events.

Who Are We?

We are an organization of people from a variety of backgrounds. We share a common interest in continued learning experiences and intellectual stimulation. Not only do we offer lecture courses, but also technology courses for individuals who want to develop or increase their skills in everyday technology. There are no tests or grades. Our courses and activities are planned and implemented by
our members. We design our own curriculum and utilize instructors from USCA faculty (current and retired), from our own membership, and from experts in the community
