
About the Program
The Chancellor's Ambassadors represent USCA and the Office of the Chancellor to build and foster relationships between students, alumni, and the community. Each spring, Chancellor’s Ambassadors apply for the position and are then selected after an interview with the organization’s advisors.
Organizational goals include:
- Developing student volunteers into future alumni leaders.
- Promoting goodwill and beneficial relationships between the university and its constituents.
- Supporting the Office of the Chancellor at special events and with programs that further the university’s mission.
- Displaying personal and professional character among all with whom Chancellor Ambassadors interact.

Future Ambassadors
Applications for Chancellor Ambassadors open during the spring semester of each academic year. Candidates for Chancellor Ambassadors must have the following qualifications:
- Sophomore, junior, or senior standing
- First-time senior applicants must be able to serve the full academic year.
- Reapplying Ambassadors may serve during the fall semester before graduating in December.
- 3.0 GPA or above at the time of application
- Excellent team player
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interested in leadership and career development
- Supportive of university efforts both on and off-campus
- Willingness to serve others
If selected, Chancellor Ambassadors will be expected to:
- Develop professional relationships with alumni and community leaders at special events.
- Provide student representation at Alumni Board meetings as requested
- Attend the fall Chancellor Ambassador orientation retreat and monthly Ambassador meetings
- Attend and assist with a majority of special events, including but not limited to:
- Family Day
- Alumni Golf Tournament
- Grad Finale (each semester)
- The Chancellor’s Donor Gala
- Senior Celebration Brunch and Commencement (each semester)
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration
- Carolina Day
- Alumni mentor/mentee mixer
- Student Leadership Awards Banquet
- Academic Honors Ceremony
- Meetings with VIP university guests

Requesting Chancellor's Ambassadors for Special Events
To request the Chancellor’s Ambassadors' assistance for special events, email Bobby Walters. Include detailed information about the event and specific expectations regarding the Ambassadors’ involvement, including time commitments. The advisors will determine if the event requirements align with the program’s mission. Requests made less than two weeks in advance will not be considered.
