Research Assistantships

A Research Assistantship offers highly motivated students the opportunity work directly with faculty, gain a deeper understanding of the research project, bolster graduate school applications, and contribute human knowledge. By joining existing projects such as the Black Graniteville History Project or the Vietnam Veterans Oral History Project or creating your own project, you can develop crucial skills in research, writing, communication, and analysis.

The history and political science programs are pleased to offer financial support, in the form of stipends, to our students who obtain research assistantships that prepare them for careers in history, political science, and related fields. Once you discussed your research plans with your faculty advisor, click here to apply for funding.
