Pi Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International
The mission of Sigma Theta Tau International, the only Honor Society of Nursing, is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.
The Pi Lambda chapter at USCA embraces this mission. The chapter wishes to acknowledge and embrace new members of the chapter who have exhibited leadership, scholarship, and service to the organization, the profession, and the community.

Excellence in Leadership, Scholarship, and Service Award
Since February 2008, Pi Lambda Chapter has provided a cash award to one or more outstanding new member(s) of Pi Lambda. The recipient(s) is/are recognized, and the award is presented each semester at the School of Nursing Pinning ceremony.
For a student to be eligible to apply for this award, the student must meet specific criteria:
- The applicant shall be an inducted and current member Pi Lambda chapter.
- The applicant shall submit a completed application.
- The applicant shall ask for a letter of support from a current member of Pi Lambda chapter.
- The supporting member shall submit the letter of support/recommendation to the Awards Chair.
Both the application and the support letter will be considered when determining the recipient for this award.
Eligible applicants will receive an application via email. Deadlines will be posted on the application.

Application to the School of Nursing
You must first apply for admission to the university, and then apply to the SON. To access the application, you will login as a 'Returning User,' not a 'First Time User.'
