The purpose of the Bachelor of Science in Public Health is to provide a program for students who are interested in health-related areas of study. This program of study will support public health and wellness professionals, each of which continues to be in great demand both in the state and nationally. Moreover, the USC Aiken Public Health program will allow students to choose a Science or Community Health concentration which will provide specific coursework for students interested in a career in health care (Community Health), or those interested in more applied training (Science concentration). Importantly, a BS in Public Health will provide a program for students who are interested in a career in the health sciences, but who are not focused on clinical careers such as nursing or medicine.
