Army ROTC Pacer Detachment

The Pacer Detachment

ROTC, Reserve Officer's Training Corps, is a program of military instruction that takes place on 270 college and university campuses nation-wide. The origin of Military Instruction in Civilian colleges dates back to 1819.

Army ROTC is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the Army. Upon graduation from Army ROTC, you will earn the bar of a Second Lieutenant and become a leader for life.

The USCA Pacer Detachment is an extension campus of the Augusta University Army ROTC Program, The Jaguar Battalion. Pacer Students are able to join the program in the Spring of their Sophomore Year and progress as part of a 2.5 year program. Each student works side-by-side with the Army ROTC Cadre and Staff in order to build a pathway to earn their Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Who We Are

The Pacer Detachment, draws students from all five colleges within USCA. Our diverse group of students trains together as part of a team. The Cadre and Staff partner with our students to help them achieve their goals and discover life-changing education here at USCA.

We are seeking highly qualified high school seniors, current undergraduate, and graduate students with a strong academic record. Undergraduate and Graduate students must have at least two-years (four semesters) of academic curriculum remaining.
