The IMPACT Award
This award will be presented to the student group, team, or organization that has completed the most outstanding service project based on the following qualifications:
- Originality/Creativity of project
- Percentage of members participating
- Impact the project had on the agency or agency clients
Nomination letters should include details about the project and address why it is the most outstanding. They should be turned in to the Student Life Office two weeks before the Annual Student Leadership Awards Banquet.
The Heart of Gold Award
This award will be presented to the student who demonstrates good character, a passion for community service through his or her volunteer efforts in the community, and inspires others by his or her enthusiasm for service. Nomination letters should include details about his or her volunteer involvement in the community.
The S.E.R.V.I.C.E. Awards (Students Excelling and Rendering Valuable Involvement with Community Efforts)
The S.E.R.V.I.C.E. Award will be presented to one student and one student organization with the most recorded hours of community service for the academic year. To be eligible for these awards, students and student organizations must complete the Community Service Report Forms for each volunteer project. Community service hours can be reported by submitting all information online through the report form. Visit the Student Life Office for assistance.
President’s Student Service Awards
All students who turn in 100 hours or more for the academic year will receive this special recognition from the White House. The President’s Student Service Awards were created in 1992 to inspire young Americans to participate in voluntary community service. More than 115,000 recipients across the country have given more than 10 million hours to American communities.
