Mary Moussa Rogers received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Mississippi State University in 2021. She completed her dissertation through Psi Chi’s Network for International Collaborative Exchange on the topic of family dynamics and emerging adult outcomes.
Dr. Moussa Rogers investigates contextual and individual correlates relevant to the development of health risk behavior with a focus on risky sexual behavior and substance use. This research is conducted in S.H.I.P.P. Lab, which stands for systems, health, impulsivity, parenting, and prevention. Their passion is to engage in prevention science in the campus and broader community. They have already started to do this with the first grant awarded in November of 2021 from the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) to implement substance use prevention services on USCA’s campus and in Aiken County.
