The USCA School of Business Administration (SOBA) is proudly accredited by the AACSB, representing the pinnacle of business education. Embracing a culture of community engagement, SOBA's motto is "Educating through Engagement."
For years, SOBA professors have provided economic analysis to various South Carolina businesses and organizations. Projects range from Regional Economic Benchmarking Reports for the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce to an economic impact study of the Savannah River Site on adjacent counties. Establishing the Pacer Center for Excellence in Business Research and Entrepreneurship (Pacer Center) aims to leverage SOBA's expertise in economics, finance, accounting, marketing, management, and data analytics to enhance the local, regional, and national economy while involving students in practical business research.
Pacer Center's mission is to provide data-driven, unbiased research that benefits society and offers students opportunities in entrepreneurship, research, and service. The vision is for Pacer Center to become the foremost authority in economic development, business research, and entrepreneurship in the CSRA.
Dr. Sanela Porca leads the Pacer Center, relying on faculty, fellows, and student interns to drive economic enhancement. For inquiries, contact us for assistance.
