Homecoming Banner

Dear members of the UofSC Aiken Alumni Community,

Homecoming at any university is a special time. It’s a time to reconnect with classmates, reunite with faculty and staff, and enjoy the UofSC Aiken Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams.

The UofSC Aiken Alumni Board and Advancement Office were looking forward to providing a tailgate party prior to the games and in conjunction with Homecoming 2021 – a venue to provide food, refreshments, and entertainment. Much preparation with social distancing was implemented for this event, but due to the small response, we needed to move forward with a decision.

We are saddened to share that the university will be cancelling the February 6 tailgate event. We understand the continued concerns as COVID-19 lingers into the 2021 year. We are going to share the winners of the CORE4 at the Alumni Town Hall on Tuesday, February 2. Please tune in to this Zoom link on February 2, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm for the CORE4 announcement, as well as our guest speaker, Mr. Corey Feraldi, who will share what benefits the UofSC Aiken Career Services Office offers Alumni.

For those of you alumni who would still like to attend the Homecoming games, our UofSC Aiken Athletics Department has been given permission from the S.C. Tourism Department to offer limited seating. It demands social distancing with pods of two or four people. Jim Herlihy, the Athletic Director, has kept 125 seats available for alumni who would like to attend the game.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP here by Thursday, February 4. Tickets will be available to you at Will Call at the Convocation Center if you RSVP. If for any reason the game is cancelled that day, please view https://pacersports.com/.

Thank you.

Blake Leaphart

President, UofSC Aiken Alumni Board
