The USCA Alumni Association awards three Alumni scholarships each year: the Alumni Student Involvement Scholarship, the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, and the Barbara Brayboy Brooks Scholarship.
Scholarship dollars help students reach their academic goals. They are raised by the efforts of dedicated Alumni each year through the USCA Alumni Golf Classic, and the generosity of many alumni and friends.
The Alumni Board will make the final decision concerning awarding these scholarships via a scholarship application and selection process. Recipients are required to attend a Scholarship Recognition Ceremony in their honor.
Alumni Legacy Scholarships
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students with a record of commitment and excellence.
To be eligible for the Legacy Scholarship:
- Students must be full-time, degree-seeking students.
- If entering freshman, the student must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.75. College transfers and current students must have a collegiate cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- Incoming freshmen and transfer students must have received an acceptance letter from the Admissions Office to be considered for Alumni Scholarships.
This scholarship is a $1,000 annual award, and students must apply each academic year to be considered. The Alumni Board will make the final decision concerning awarding these scholarships via a scholarship application and selection process. Recipients are required to attend a Scholarship Recognition Ceremony in their honor.

Student Involvement Scholarships
The Student Involvement Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate students engaged and involved in USCA student clubs and organizations.
The USCA Alumni Association awards scholarships yearly to undergraduate students who have contributed to USCA clubs or organizations, demonstrating commitment, leadership skills, or potential. To be eligible for the Student Involvement Scholarship, students must:
- Be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate with a cumulative grade point average of 2.75
- Be actively involved in one student organization, verified by the Student Life Office or the organization’s advisor
This scholarship is a $1,000 annual award, and students must apply each academic year to be considered. The Alumni Board will make the final decision concerning the awarding of these scholarships via a scholarship application and selection process. Recipients are required to attend a Scholarship Recognition Ceremony in their honor.

The Barbara Brayboy Brooks Scholarship
The Barbara Brayboy Brooks Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate students who are engaged in promoting unity at USCA and in the community.
To be eligible for the Barbara Brayboy Brooks Scholarship, students must:

Be a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5
- Be actively involved in planning programs and events promoting unity at USCA and the Aiken community.

Be involved in at least one active USCA student organization verified by the organization’s advisor.
The scholarship shall be awarded to students who best reflect an inclusive campus environment containing individuals with a variety of life experiences, including students who have overcome adversity and hardship, first-generation students, socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals, and others who have a unique ability to contribute to the University.
This scholarship is an annual award, and students must apply each academic year to be considered. The BAC will make the final decision concerning awarding these scholarships via a scholarship application and selection process. Recipients are required to attend a Scholarship Recognition Ceremony in their honor.
