What We Do
- Assist in the development of activities that will improve the quality of student life at USCA
- Foster opportunities for alumni to maintain strong connections with USCA and each other
- Provide financial resources for students to continue their education
- Assist with the recruitment of faculty, administrators, and staff
- Promote the association as a supportive resource for USCA’s students
- Assist in the recruitment, graduation, and career placement of all students
- Provide opportunities for leadership development and the personal and professional growth of all alumni
- Guide students as they navigate and overcome obstacles throughout their academic career at USCA and beyond
- Seek out and encourage alliances with USCA alumni across the country

Get Involved with Our Committees
Active involvement with the USCA Black Alumni Council is the organization's driving force. The three initiatives of alumni engagement, scholarship support, and mentoring/networking do not happen without your participation and support. If you’d like to be involved, please reach out about joining one of the following committees by emailing uscabac2016@gmail.com or make a donation to BAC.

Student Engagement Committee
The Student Engagement Committee is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities for current USC Aiken students to connect with the Black Alumni Council and its alumni network. This committee plans student-focused programs and events, supports mentorship and networking initiatives, encourages student participation in BAC activities, and assists with the Homecoming Tailgate and other engagement opportunities throughout the year. Members also collaborate with other committees to support BAC events and initiatives. You may be asked to attend monthly or bi-monthly meetings.

Giving, Fundraising & Alumni Engagement Committee
The Giving, Fundraising, & Alumni Engagement Committee is responsible for leading fundraising efforts that support BAC scholarships, programs, and events while strengthening relationships with alumni. This committee oversees the annual #GiveBAC campaign, supports planning and coordination of the Brayboy-Brooks Scholarship Brunch, and works to increase alumni participation and philanthropic support. Members also assist with donor outreach, engagement initiatives, and other BAC activities that advance the council's mission. You may be asked to attend monthly or bi-monthly meetings.

Strategic Partnerships Committee
The Strategic Partnerships Committee is responsible for expanding the reach and impact of the USC Aiken Black Alumni Council by building and strengthening relationships with alumni, university departments, student organizations, community partners, and corporate sponsors. This committee identifies partnership and sponsorship opportunities that support BAC programs, scholarships, and events while helping recruit alumni volunteers, mentors, speakers, and event participants. Members also support fundraising efforts and collaborate with other committees to advance BAC initiatives. You may be asked to attend monthly or bi-monthly meetings.

Marketing and Communication Committee
The Marketing and Communications Committee is responsible for promoting the Black Alumni Council and sharing information with alumni, students, and the community. This committee develops and distributes communications related to BAC events, fundraising campaigns, alumni spotlights, student success stories, and other initiatives. Members may assist with social media, graphic design, email communications, event promotion, and maintaining a consistent BAC brand and voice. You may be asked to meet regularly and support marketing efforts throughout the year.
