Your college education is an important investment. For this reason, we believe it’s important to offer an easy, affordable way to protect your and your family’s investment in higher education. USCA has partnered with GradGuardTM to provide tuition insurance for our students and their families.
What It Covers
The Tuition Protection Plan* offered by GradGuard offers plans that expand the scope of the university’s refund policy and can provide reimbursement at any time during the covered term, for personal reasons such as:
- Covered serious illness or injury
- Covered chronic illness
- Covered mental health conditions
- Covered the death of a tuition payer
Tuition Insurance is Optional
Students and their families have the option to purchase tuition insurance. It is not required. The insurance agreement is between you and GradGuard. USCA is not a party to the agreement and will not have access to your GradGuard account details.

No. To take advantage of your tuition insurance plan, a student must withdraw from ALL classes during the term for which you purchased tuition insurance.
Yes. Depending on the date you withdraw from the university, all or a portion of your tuition and fees may be refundable. Please refer to USCA’s academic calendar for refund dates and deadlines.
