USCA LIFE

Academics

USCA LIFE students complete both USCA courses and courses specific to our program.

USCA Coursework

Students complete at least one credit hour of credit bearing or noncredit bearing (e.g., auditing) coursework each semester. Examples include exercise sports science (e.g., yoga, pickleball, tennis conditioning, disc golf), graphic design, history 101.

USCA LIFE Course Schedule

Year One: Personal Responsibility I & II, Job Training I & II, Nutrition Applications, Life Skill Applications, Information Literacy.

Year Two: College to Real World I & II, Job Training 1 & II, Nutrition Applications, Fitness.

Academic Support

Each student completes at least two hours of academic support a week with a mentor.

Credit-Bearing

Students complete all exams and work as described in the course syllabus. They earn a final grade based on the established grading scale for that course.

Non-Credit Bearing (Auditing)

Students are assessed using a learning contract. We collaboratively develop learning goals and objectives for each student. A rubric measures progress towards each goal.
