Living Learning Communities

A Living-Learning Community for Students Accepted to the Honors Program

Students in a living-learning community will have access to unique opportunities that will improve their on-campus experience at USCA. This also allows students to live with people with similar interests. Research has shown that people who join a living-learning community are more engaged academically and socially.

Students in the Honors Program will live on a dedicated wing in Pacer Commons and will have access to multiple lounges for events and meetings. They will also have access to two classrooms for hosting academic classes and can build a community with professors and other students with similar academic interests.

What Makes This Community Unique?

Students in this living-learning community will have access to unique opportunities such as:

  • Dinner with our Chancellor.
  • Programming dedicated to honors students, such as game nights, study nights, lunch chats or coffee chats with faculty members, and other events dedicated to honors students.
  • A dedicated resident mentor who is part of the Honors Program.
  • Take Honors 101 together while also living together, thus creating a true living-learning community.

Requirements

To be eligible to live in this community, students must be admitted to the Honors Program at USCA. To indicate your interest in this living-learning community, please email [email protected] or Dr. Michelle Petrie, Honors program coordinator, at [email protected].
