Fall 2025 Move In Information
Move In for the Fall 2025 semester is approaching. Here is important information that you should know, so you may begin to plan for your arrival at USCA in August.
Dates and Times
- Saturday, August 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday, August 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Selecting a move-in time
Residential students will receive an email in mid-July announcing that move in time sign-ups are open. Each resident will be able to select a time, in half hour increments, to move into Housing. This will be for both freshmen and returning residents. Additionally, you will find the link to the sign-up form on this page in mid-July. Residents will be able to self-select their move in date and time, on a first-come, first-served basis, through Friday, August 1. After that date, University Housing will assign residents a date and time for move in and the information will be sent to the resident’s USCA email address.
Fall 2025 Move In Sign Up Form
University Housing knows that some of our residents are student athletes who need to arrive back for the training or are student leaders helping with opening or participating in training. Please complete the Early Arrival Request Form to request a time for an early arrival, depending upon your circumstance. The deadline to submit an early arrival request is Friday, August 1. If the Early Arrival Request is not submitted on time, there may be a fee charged, or you may not be able to arrive early. All requests will be reviewed, and residents will be notified via their USCA email no later than Tuesday, August 5.
Check-in for all residents will take place in the B Parking Lot, located just as you enter into campus at the stoplight at Scholar Loop and University Parkway. All residents will be asked to use the Scholar Loop Entrance, where the stoplight is located on University Parkway, for move in. If you use 119 Scholar Loop, Aiken, SC 29801 as the address in your GPS, you will be brought directly to the B Parking Lot. Once you have gone through the check in process in the B Parking Lot, you will be directed to the correct parking lot for your community. Please note that the gates off of the Bell Parkway will be closed and operate as an exit only during the days of move in. The USCA Map may help you locate the University Parkway entrance to University Housing.
Yes. We require all residents and their families to come at the time that they have selected to move in. Move in times will be checked at the Pacer Downs and UPD entrance to University Housing.
Absolutely, please bring friends and family to assist you with moving in. However, you will only need to sign up for one move in time slot.
University Housing will have buggies available for you to check out at no cost. They are available on a first come, first served basis, however, by having specific move in times, the supply of buggies should remain steady throughout the move in days.
The check in process will happen at the B Parking Lot at the front of the USCA campus. See above for more information on the location. Once you have completed that process, University Housing staff will direct you to the correct parking area, depending upon which building you are moving into for the semester.
Your Resident Mentor will meet you on your move in day and a floor meeting will be held, so you are able to discuss important information about living in University Housing.

Summer 2025 Move Out Information
Residents who are remaining in University Housing but are not staying in the same assignment that they were in for the summer sessions, will need to pick up their fall assignment room keys on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Pacer Commons Office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All residents who are moving to their fall assignments must complete their move out of their summer session assignment by Sunday, August 3, 2025. See below for more information on how to check out and return summer session keys.
Residents are to move out of their rooms (unless they have applied for and been assigned a space for fall 2025) by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
For those residents who are currently in their fall assignments and have been throughout the summer term, they need to prepare their bedrooms and other living areas, including the commons spaces, for the arrival of additional roommates. Failure to do so may result in fines or fees. This must be done by Thursday, July 31, 2025.
All trash and belongings are to be removed from rooms, including from closets, refrigerators, and cupboards.
Furniture must be returned to its original positions at the time of move out.
Residents must complete a walk-through with their RM.
Check Out Process
The RMs will be checking in with all residents the week before move out and will explain to them the check-out process; look for emails and flyers from your RM on when and how this will take place.
Complete a Key Return Envelope, Express Check Out Form, and return the keys in the drop box on the Pacer Commons Lobby. The return key drop box is located across from the Pacer Commons Office. Should you need assistance, please contact the Pacer Commons Office at 803.641.3767 or, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the RM on-duty at 8033349.5916.
Fines and Damage Fees
Please know that any damages to the conditions of the room or the furniture may result in damage fees; fees are found in the Community Guide on pages 32-34.
Failure to check out in the process outline above will result in an improper check out fine of $50.00.
Both the room and mailbox keys are to be returned at check out; failure to do so may result in a fee of $150.00 for the room key and $10.00 for the mailbox key.
As stated above, all residents who are not moving to their fall 2025 assignments are to move out of their room by 10:00 am on Thursday, August 7, 2025; a late check out fee of $25.00 for each half hour that a resident remains past the check-out time may be applied for failure to check out on time.
Security Deposit Refunds
Security Deposit Refunds are processed by USCA and then forwarded to USC Columbia for checks to be issued. Please make sure you update your mailing address in Self-Service Carolina (SSC) so that your deposit refund check gets mailed to the correct address. This process takes 6-8 weeks.
